Reading aloud to a group of kindergarteners is often very different than one-on-one snuggling in a favorite chair and having no constraints on your reading time. These books have been used successfully in library and classroom settings.

- I'm Bad by Kate and Jim McMullan [a big bad trex--use the endpapers to make a dinosaur hat, make 2 copies and staple]--Thanks to Judy Freeman
- I'm Not Cute by Jonathan Allen
- I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean by Kevin Sherry
- Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems [thought this was strictly preschool, but Trixie's babbling always brings down the house]
