NJ : More than the Soprano State
Dr. Marc Mappen and Bob Ingle, two noted NJ authors, will discuss different perspectives of NJ, as they relate to the Sopranos and New Jersey history and legend. This interesting discussion will take you on a lively romp through NJ history from the primitive past to the present day. Real, wise, and tall tales filled with zest, humor, scandal, and occasional tragedy will be told by one of NJ's premier historians and storytellers. Dr. Mappen (There's More to New Jersey than the Sopranos) will talk about luminaries, such as Annie Oakley, Ulysses S. Grant, Benedict Arnold, Ezra Pound, Shoeless Joe Jackson, and many others and their common bonds with NJ. (Step aside Tony Soprano: mobster Al Capone strolled the boards at Atlantic City!) The program concludes with another Soprano perspective. Bob Ingle (The Soprano State) will answer questions and give his views on NJ politics and government. These renowned authors will entertain and educate you about NJ while offering humor and relaxation. Get your copies of their works signed, after the program!
