Tote Bag and Food Drive

Page history last edited by Kate Vasilik 15 years, 1 month ago

The NJLA Public Relations Committee and the NJ State Library seek your assistance!

Food banks all over the state are experiencing critical food shortages.  For all those who are attending the Annual Spring Conference in April, the PR Committee will be collecting canvas bags and canned food items for the hungry.  Food banks need canvas bags for their deliveries, and many of us have amassed more conference bags than we can use.  So we though we’d ask you to donate your extra bags, along with any canned goods you’d care to give.

Both items are needed by the food bank – donations of either the bags or the food or both are appreciated.  These donations will be transported and distributed to the Monmouth County Food Bank at the end of each conference day.

Stay tuned for more information about where to drop off your contributions.  Thanks in advance for your generosity, especially during these times!  Together our organization can make a difference to help those in need.

The Ocean Place Resort has graciously agreed to set aside a small storage room near the registration area to receive the donations of tote bags and food. Please bring your bags with you when you arrive at the conference. There will signs on the store room door, or conference volunteers will be able to direct you if you bring them to registration.
