The Young Adult Services Section strives to prepare and present current, quality programming pertaining to service to teens at the NJLA Annual Conference, the New Jersey Association of School Librarians Annual Conference and at the annual Youth Services Forum. The section’s primary goal, however, is to read and evaluate YA books for inclusion on the Garden State Teen Book Awards ballot, to prepare and distribute the ballot, gather and tally votes cast by New Jersey students, and honor the winners at the Garden State Luncheon in April.

The section meets six times per year at the South Brunswick Public Library.  The next meeting is on January 29, 2010, coffee at 9:00 a.m., meeting at 9:30 a.m.  In addition to the general business meeting, we will be discussing the GSTBA books under consideration in the FIC 6-8 category.  For directions, click here.
