Twenty nominated titles on each list? That's it?! The YA Section and GSTBA readers work hard each year to put together a ballot that has equal weight popularity, quality, and diversity (to represent the wealth of published teen literature as well as the great state of New Jersey). But each year, there are some titles -- that we LOVE -- that just don't make the list. A few years ago, we started to keep track of these "we love you, but we loved another more" titles and we call this second list our Honorable Mentions. (Last updated: April 2012)
