These Information Literacy Progression Standards have been produced by academic librarians working in two and four-year colleges across the state of New Jersey.
They are based on the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) "Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education" but also incorporate good practice examples from institutions throught New Jersey and other parts of the United States.
Librarians were assembled from three different working groups:
